Do you have lock-in contracts?

We ask for a minimum 6-month commitment. Don't worry though. We are reasonable and professional. If you have a problem with your campaign, talk to us. We will ALWAYS work in your best interests.

How long does it take to rank?

It can take anywhere from 3-12 months to rank on page 1 - depending on the competition. Some have ranked much faster than 3 months even, but this is rare in legitimate, revenue producing markets. Another thing to consider is that your competitors will most likely also be investing in SEO as they see you overtake their rankings, so marketing should be maintained and built on regularly in order to stay on top. We usually say 6-9 months.

What methods do you use?

We use a combination of on-page SEO and off-page SEO. See our Pricing page for more details.

How much do you charge?

It just depends on the market. Most small local businesses, tradies etc would pay between $750-$1500+GST per month. Nation-wide corporate clients pay anywhere up to $50, 000 per month. Webgator has the capacity to deliver incredible results at any level. Just ask for a quote. Don't worry - we don't hassle, haggle, or try a hard sell.

SEO or Paid Ads?
One of the most common questions we get when negotiating contracts is "Why should I pay for SEO which takes months to get ROI when I can just pay for Google ads and get immediate ROI?".I thought this simple explanation would help explain the difference.Ads are like renting. Rent money is dead money. As long as you rent, you don't own. Ads rent digital real-estate.SEO on the other hand is an investment. It takes time to build, but when you achieve top rankings in search engines, you get customers for free. You don't have to pay for ads anymore if you don't want to. Once the development is done - it's done. You might have to pay maintenance, but you don't have to pay the exorbitant advertising rates.Ads are an advertising expense. SEO is an investment.Another reason SEO is better is because most people don't click on the ads anymore. They skip them and scroll down to the real results. A website positioned as #1 in the organic results can get more than 30% of all website traffic. The rest of the traffic is split between ads, other first page rankings, and the Google local listings - also referred to as the snack pack.In summary: SEO will save you money and get you more business than ads can do for you. It's worth the investment!
Which areas do you service?
SEO Buyer's Guide
#1 Look out for cookie-cutter search engine optimisation prices.

That includes any company which quotes blanket prices or very low prices like $499 or $599 a month. They just don't understand business very well. You know, there are no 2 businesses alike, and each business has its own set of financial goals it would like to achieve. A local business in a suburban area would never be charged as much as a major state-wide or nation-wide company.

Stop and think about it. There's no way an SEO agency will be able to earn a business an extra $1 million or even $25, 000 a month by charging $125 a week for SEO. That's actually less than what a teenager holding a pizza sign gets part-time!

#2 Make sure they've had experience ranking for difficult, revenue producing keywords.
Some SEO agencies will charge you to rank for your own business name or some obscure keywords which people aren’t searching for. Having a flash sign in the middle of the desert isn’t going to bring you revenue! Your business needs to be ranked on page 1 of Google for major revenue generating search terms – and preferably in the top 3. No-one can safely guarantee position #1 rankings, but getting your business consistently at the top of search results is where the money is.
#3 Just because someone knows computers, doesn't mean they know search engine optimisation.
Don't make the mistake of thinking that a web development team or IT guy knows anything about SEO. The thing is that the IT guys care about job security and wouldn't dare tell you they don't know how to get the job done. Because if they did know how to do SEO properly, your website would ALREADY be ranked well in Google and generating the traffic and revenue you desire. Trying to do this in-house could result in a huge waste of money.Web designing is a great talent. But a pretty website isn't going to bring you traffic. Web designers are architects. Just because someone is used to building a hospital, doesn't mean you would want that same person to be doing surgery on the patients! Almost all web design today has come down to drag-and-drop editors. So ask yourself, does that qualify them as being search engine optimisation experts?
#4 Make sure that Search engine optimisation, digital marketing, or business consulting is their full-time occupation.
There are no regulations regarding who can do SEO, and many of the people who say they can do it have full-time jobs elsewhere and use the SEO work to supplement their income. Maybe they bought some $49 course in box that makes them think they are an expert, or they've read one too many get rich online blogs. If they really knew SEO, they would be making enough money on their own without needing to take a job to supplement their income.
#5 Make sure that none of the work done on your website is outsourced to a 3rd party.

Make sure that an actual employee of their company is going to be doing the Search Engine Optimisation on your business website. Most SEO firms outsource their work to 3rd parties. I know this because SEO agencies around the world outsource their work so that their own business model is scalable. The cost of hiring an employee in Australia is about $60K a year, whereas an employee in some third world country only costs about $3K per year. The problem with this is that the larger an agency becomes, the harder it is for them to manage the quality of work produced by their off-shore counterparts. It's always good to know who's doing work on your website so you know who is accountable. And having a non-native English speaker doing work on your site can cause a whole range of other problems for your business.

Well that about wraps it up. We hope you were able to benefit from the guidelines about how to choose the best company to do Search engine optimisation to your website.
